Most sausage has preservatives, additives, flavoring and sugar added! YES! Sugar! Not to mention it can be expensive. It’s so easy to make your own at home! Grab 1lb of any ground meat: pork, chicken, turkey or even a combination of any of these. Add the spices listed. For the best results let the spices and meat marinate for a few hours or overnight. Use it in spaghetti sauce, on pizza, in stuffed peppers, omelettes, make sausage patties, etc.

Chef's Notes:
This recipe is so quick, easy and cheap to make. Plus you avoid all the “extra” preservatives, additives, flavorings, etc. And here’s some time saving tips:
1 – measure out all the spices and put into zip lock snack bags. Store in a dry place, like the pantry and when you need to make a batch of sausage, you have all the spices ready to go.
2 – If your ground meat is frozen, put it in an air tight container or zip lock bag and submerge in hot tap water for 20 min to thaw out quickly.
3 – double the recipe! Then take the extra and freeze!
